What we store

Purpose for purpose

We only collect information we need, and we delete it again when we no longer need it. Here is each individual situation, with the legal basis and retention period.

When you order

  • Information Name, address, email, phone number, order information.
  • Legal basis Performance of the contract with you, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b).
  • Storage Invoice information is stored for 5 years after the end of the financial year, pursuant to section 12 of the Danish Bookkeeping Act.

When you write to us

  • Information Name, email, phone number, engine type, and what you write in the message.
  • Legal basis Our legitimate interest in being able to respond to you, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f). You provide consent in the form.
  • Storage Normally deleted within 12 months, unless the inquiry becomes an order or a complaint case.

When you regret a purchase

  • Information Name, e-mail, order number, date of receipt, and time of your withdrawal.
  • Legal basis Legal obligation under the Consumer Contracts Act, GDPR Art. 6(1)(c).
  • Storage To be saved as documentation with the order for 5 years after the end of the financial year.

When using a complaint or warranty

  • Information Order information, contact information, engine and installation details, and any photos you send.
  • Legal basis Performance of a contract and legal obligation, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (c).
  • Storage Stored for as long as the warranty is valid, and thereafter for as long as the Danish Bookkeeping Act requires.

When you visit the site

  • Information Technical information such as IP address, browser, device and which pages you view.
  • Legal basis Necessary cookies are based on our legitimate interest in a functioning store. Statistics and marketing only with your consent, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a).
  • Storage Cookies expire after a maximum of 2 years. Your consent is stored in your browser until you change it.
Who sees your information

We only disclose what is necessary

We never sell your information. The companies below help us operate our shop, and they may only process your information according to our instructions.

E-commerce platform

Operates the shop, the cart, and the checkout flow. Processes order and contact information based on our instructions.

Cookies

You decide for yourself, and you can change your mind

Only necessary cookies are set without asking. Statistics, marketing, and embedded content require your consent. You can withdraw your consent just as easily as you gave it.

Your rights

What you can expect from us

Write to mail@schott-tech.dk to exercise any of the rights below. We will respond within one month. It is free of charge.

Insight

You can find out what information we have about you and receive a copy.

Correction

If anything is incorrect or outdated, we will correct it.

Deletion

You can have your information deleted if we are not required to store it, e.g., under the Bookkeeping Act.

Limitation

You can ask us to pause the processing while something is being clarified.

Objection

You may object to our processing of your information based on our legitimate interests.

Data portability

You can receive the information you have provided to us in a common file format.

Withdrawal of consent

If you have agreed to something, you can always withdraw it. It does not affect what has happened until then.

You can lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency
